Je viens d'avoir 11 ans cet avril 1960, et j'apprends que je vais partir au Séminaire de Chavagnes-en-Paillers rejoindre des dizaines d'autres enfants. Comme eux, on m'a découvert la vocation sacerdotale. J'ai soi-disant reçu un mystérieux appel à être prêtre. En réalité, cette élection ne résulte ni d'un événement extraordinaire, ni d'un choix personnel, mais de la conjuration d'adultes : enseignant, abbés de la paroisse, recruteur spécial autour du bon élève d'une famille catholique modèle plus ou moins subjuguée.
Je deviens ainsi l'agneau sacrifié d'une Eglise en mal de troupes pour assurer son développement. Mon enfance va m'être arrachée, ma singularité piétinée. Je vais connaître l'humiliation et la souillure, la solitude et la mélancolie avant d'être chassé six ans plus tard du troupeau et revenir vers des parents déçus et incompréhensifs. Bousculé dans ma construction d'être, privé notamment d'adolescence, je resterai marqué à vie par ces années, blessé en particulier par la distension du lien avec une mère qui m'a alors laissé partir.

Le 11 septembre 2001, le marathon de Boston, Charlie Hebdo, mars 2016 à l'aéroport de Bruxelles, Orlando, le marché de Noël de Berlin ou celui de Strasbourg, le Bataclan... Autant de dates et d'événements qui nous restent en mémoire. Il y en a eu bien d'autres : 17 000 attaques terroristes ont été recensées à travers le : monde en 2019 faisant 45 000 morts. Les chiffres sont de 10 900 attaques et 26 400 morts en 2017.
Si le terrorisme est un fléau difficile à appréhender tant il est protéiforme, il doit être soutenu par des moyens financiers pour prospérer. En effet, aucune entreprise licite ou non ne saurait fonctionner sans un appui économique, logistique et humain. Les moyens de lutter contre le terrorisme sont donc multiples : éviter le recrutement humain en appréhendant les systèmes de radicalisation et les endroits où ils se mettent en place (prisons, salles de sport, lieux de culte...), limiter l'accessibilité à des éléments nécessaires aux attaques (armes, munitions...) et enfin lutter contre son financement.
Ce dernier point est l'affaire de tous. Dans un contexte économique ultra développé et dominé par les avancées technologiques où tout va toujours plus vite, des stratégies complexes ont dû être mises en place au niveau mondial, européen ou national. Tout l'intérêt de cet ouvrage est de croiser les enjeux mondiaux de lutte contre le terrorisme et la réalité de l'activité économique. Comment lutter efficacement contre le financement du terrorisme ? Comment réglementer une économie toujours plus mondialisée ? Comment trouver un équilibre entre la nécessité de faire du chiffre d'affaires et celle de rester prudent et vigilant ? Telles sont les questions abordées par cet ouvrage qui apporte les premiers éléments de réponses utiles.
